What does TosiName verify?

TosiName verifies your legal name using a government-issued ID check. Once verified, you can link digital accounts, such as an X handle or email address, to show they are registered to a verified person. The verified name itself stays private unless you choose to share it via a Reveal Link or Mutual Reveal.

What does a proof link show?

A proof link is a public URL tied to one of your linked accounts. Anyone who visits it can see that the account handle is connected to a verified TosiName, confirming it belongs to a real, ID-verified person. The proof link never displays your legal name.

What are Reveal Links and Mutual Reveals?

Both are time-limited, one-time links you generate and share with a specific person. A Reveal Link lets the recipient see your verified legal name. A Mutual Reveal does the same, but the recipient must also be KYC-verified and their name is shared back to you. Links expire automatically, and each one can only be consumed once. You can revoke an active link at any time from the dashboard.

How do I close my account?

Open the dashboard, scroll to the Account section, and click Close account. Your access is disabled immediately and all published proof URLs and Reveal Links are deactivated. Account data is then scheduled for deletion after 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.

How do I report abuse?

If you believe a TosiName account or proof link is being used abusively, email abuse@tosiname.com with a description and any relevant links. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
